West Side Story 2019
I worked as the lead makeup artist for this show. I designed the makeup and hair for both the boys and girls, allowing me to work on a range of different skin tones and textures. As there were many fight scenes we had to ensure that the boys, in particular, were always powdered to prevent them from appearing shiny under the lights. The makeup team also had to be on standby if there was an accident that required extra coverage.

I worked in a team of people, helping with not only the makeup but also with the fast costume changes that some of the girls had. This allowed me to gain the full experience of what it was like to be behind the stage.

This production included a lot of glitters, administrated by the makeup team on all characters. With the younger members of the cast requiring extra assistance with their makeup. As the cast was on roller skates for a majority of the show the cast had to be heavily powdered throughout to prevent their sweat from ruining their makeup.
